The working principle of sand making equipment primarily relies on the “stone-on-stone” or “stone-on-iron” mechanism. Materials are accelerated by a high-speed rotating impeller, then crushed through impact and friction.
Core Working Principle
After entering the equipment through the feed hopper, materials are divided by the distributor into two streams: one enters the high-speed impeller, accelerated to 60-75 m/s before being ejected into the vortex chamber where it collides and grinds against stationary material or the liner; the other stream directly enters the vortex crushing chamber, undergoing multiple impacts and friction within the self-circulating liner to form a closed-circuit crushing process.

Centrifugal Impact Crushing: The impeller accelerates material to 60-70 m/s, achieving efficient pulverization through high-speed impact and friction.
Self-Circulating Liner: Material within the vortex chamber forms a self-circulating liner, reducing direct wear on metal components and extending service life.
Eco-Friendly Design: Select models feature airflow dust suppression systems and dust collection devices, meeting environmental production requirements.
High Adaptability: Processes medium-hard to ultra-hard materials (e.g., quartzite, limestone), producing controllable cubic-shaped finished sand particles.
Different equipment types (e.g., VSI series, PCX vertical shaft impact crushers) vary in details such as rotor design and discharge methods, but all operate on the core principle of “stone-on-stone” or “stone-on-iron” impact.
